Scale
Ingredients
- 4 slices of white bread
- 150 grams of smoked salmon (slices)
- 100 grams of cream cheese
- 30 grams of capers
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Optional: chives for decoration
Instructions
- Take the cream cheese. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon. Cut the chives in small parts. Put everything in a bowl and stir until well blended.
- Two options: cut the capers with a knife on a cutting board until nice and small, or put the capers in a grinder and grind until they have burst.
- One way or another, add them to the cream cheese mixture.
- Grab a slice of bread. Add butter to both slices and turn around.
- Assemble your toastie! Spread a nice layer of cream cheese on both slices.
- Add the smoked salmon. And put the toastie together (that means putting the second slice on top of the assembled slice)
- Place your toastie onto the grill and let the heat do its magic. Grilling should take about 5 minutes, depending on the grill or toastie-maker that you are using.
- Take out carefully and cut diagonally. Feeling artsy? Sprinkle some extra chives, crunched capers and lemon zest over the toastie/plate.
- Not needed, always recommended: ketchup!
